| Britain - install new president |
A few years he was a Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer and the political heir apparent to X-Prime Minister Tony Blair. Yesterday he had fulfill his ambitions to lead Britain and kick-out Blair from Britain black history against Iraq.
Now, he had promised Britain people and world as well - acknowledged “mistakes” in Iraq and promised “a new leadership for this new time. Lets see if he's not pretty liar.
 Here's Mr.Brown few background;
Full name...James Gordon Brown - was born in Giffnock, near Glasgow, on 20 February 1951 - received his first education at Kirkcaldy West Primary School - between 1961 and 1967, at Kirkcaldy High School.
WIKIPEDIA_ He was accepted by the University of Edinburgh to study history at the age of 16, making him one of only four university educated Prime Ministers who did not attend Oxford or Cambridge (the other three being Lord John Russell who also attended Edinburgh, the Earl of Bute who studied at the University of Leiden and Neville Chamberlain who studied at Mason Science College, later the University of Birmingham).
As a student, he suffered a detached retina, after being kicked in the head during an end-of-term rugby match. He was left blind in his left eye, despite treatment including several operations and lying in a darkened room for weeks at a time. Later at Edinburgh, while playing tennis, he noticed the same symptoms in his right eye. After undergoing experimental surgery at Edinburgh Infirmary the eye was saved, ensuring he did not go totally blind.[2]
Brown graduated from Edinburgh with First Class Honours M.A. in 1972, and stayed on to complete his Ph.D. (which he gained in 1982), titled The Labour Party and Political Change in Scotland 1918-29. According to biographer Tom Bower, Brown originally intended his thesis to cover the development of the Labour movement from the seventeenth century onwards, but evolved to more modestly describe "Labour's struggle to establish itself as the alternative to the Conservatives [in the early part of the 20th century]".
In 1972, while still a student, Brown was elected Rector[3] of the University of Edinburgh and Chairman of the University Court. Brown served as Rector until 1975, and he also edited The Red Paper on Scotland.[4] Brown served as a temporary lecturer at Edinburgh, before working as a lecturer in Politics at Glasgow College of Technology from 1976 to 1980. He then worked as a journalist at Scottish Television, later serving as current affairs editor until his election to parliament in 1983.
In the 1979 general election, Brown stood for the Edinburgh South constituency, but lost to the Conservative candidate, Michael Ancram.

| Congrats Chia.. |

SUDDENLY OR EXCIDENTLY... he's wake-up from his nightmare...when the Kuala Lumpur court complex wheeled out yesterday that Tan Sri Eric Chia Eng Hock is free man NOW - after he was acquitted by the Sessions Court of committing criminal breach of trust 13 years ago involving RM76.4mil. How it is beutiful news to himself and his suppoters as well! Look his actions in the picture taken from Utusan, Star and BH when he recieved that good news.
Cases at a glance...Chia, who was also former managing director of Perwaja Rolling Mill and Development Sdn Bhd, was charged with dishonestly authorising the payment of RM76.4 million into the account of Frilsham Enterprise Incorporated with American Express Bank Ltd in Hongkong for technical assistance, when no such payment was due.
Alternatively, he was charged with dishonestly disposing of the funds by entering into an agreement with NKK Corporation and authorising the payment of the amount without the approval of the board of directors or tender committee of Perwaja Rolling Mill and Development.
"When I was in UMW, when I was in EON, at that time I put my hands on the table and my hands will meet 200 other hands with so many fingers, each of them are friends. Because of this case, I put my hand on this table, there’re not enough friends, because they have all run away from me, some think that I’m a crook.” |

| Bukan rumours LAH |
I was really shocked when i hear ed last night in television that Pak Lah will be marry again. But its okay! Normal behaviour for human being like us! As a men, that's our need. But be careful.. in world history many leaders fall down in his leadership because of women. Remember Napoleon Bonaparte, J.F Kaneddy and many more (**if I'm not mistake lah).
One thing, I actually, heard this, when i was a reporter in Utuan Malaysia before. But i thought it is only a rumours. Well now I was reminded that some rumours have truth in them so how about to keep a look out for them. I must say that was a happiest laughter I’ve seen come out of our PM, ever.
As we'll know, men need someone (women or wife) to talk to on how he'll success in his carrier or etc. Because of that, here I just wanna drop my prayer to Pak Lah and his becoming wife (Jeanne Abdullah) for happiness and longevity in their marry.

WHAT THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN THIS STORY
THE STAR March 6, 2007 PM: Reports that I’m remarried just rumours
KUALA LUMPUR Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said reports on the Internet that he had remarried were only “rumours”.
The Prime Minister, who was asked the question after attending the Bank Negara board of directors’ quarterly meeting Tuesday, said, “It’s just rumours, so only rumours, lah”.
Speculation that Abdullah had remarried or was about to do so has been rife after recent postings on the net, especially after one blogger published a fictionalised movie poster with a picture of the Prime Minister posing with a certain “lady”.
Subsequently, the blogger posted his “wholehearted apology” which stated, among other things: “At this particular instant, I can only assume that the speculation is true until it is proven beyond reasonable doubt, fictitious.” (Taken from http://kickdefella.wordpress.com/2007/03/06/pm-reports-that-im-remarried-just-rumours/)
Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) June 07, 2007 PM: Says Jeanne And Him Compatible
KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi says he has chosen Jeanne Abdullah as his new life partner as they are compatible and is confident that she will take good care of him.
However, he confesses that his love for his late wife Datin Seri Endon Mahmood is for eternity.
"My affection and love for Kak Endon remains strong. I believe God has created in our hearts many spaces for different people that we can love as much.
"We can love our mother, daughter, wife, grandchildren, sisters but we cannot compare the love for our mother with the love for our wife. Jeanne also is a love... that's God's will," he told a packed press conference after opening the Small and Medium Enterprise Convention here today.
About 80 journalists including from foreign new agencies were at the function to obtain a statement from the Prime Minister on his coming marriage to Jeanne after an announcement on this was made by his office this morning.
Following are the Prime Minister's answers to the questions at the press conference:
Q : This morning we received the good news from Datuk Seri. Can Datuk Seri elaborate on your marriage this Saturday?
A : Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), I am happy and grateful to Allah that my choice (of wife) has received the blessings of my children and siblings...hopefully the day will come, Insya-Allah (God willing).
Q : Why on Saturday?
A : It's a holiday...easy for people to come.
Q : Where do you intend to go for your honeymoon?
A : There's no plan yet, have to discuss with the person concerned.
Q : When did you first meet your future wife?
A : I've known her a long time as she is Endon's (late wife) sister-in-law.
Q : When did you propose?
A : I wish I can remember when it was, but I can't remember.
Q : Can Datuk Seri tell us a bit about your future wife?
A : She can take care of me, can be my companion.
Q : Why it took you so long to announce because before this you said it was just a rumour?
A : All the dates mentioned were wrong...that's why I said it was just a rumour. It took some time...I needed to consult my children, needed to find the time, I was too busy going here and there.
Q : Will there be a bersanding ceremony?
A : No...old people getting married.
Q : Will there be a bersanding or reception for the rakyat (people)?
A : No decision yet...many more people to meet....
Q : Can you tell us about the character of your future wife?
A : Firstly, she was humble and friendly with visitors to our residence when Kak Endon was around. She would be the one welcoming and attending to our many friends and other visitors, including foreigners and government officials, because there were meetings held at the residence.
Jeanne would also organise the receptions, big and small, finding the caterer, planning the menu and table arrangement, and she did it well. She has good qualities and can easily interact with people.
Q : How long have you known her?
A : Long enough...about 20 years.
Q : The courtship, Datuk Seri?
A : (Laughing) only recently...less than a year.
Q : How about the wedding gifts?
A : None...very simple (wedding)...this is not our first marriage...no need for so many gifts.
Q : How was Nori's (daughter) response?
A : She accepted it...if she didn't, it would not happen.
Q : So your family knows Jeanne well?
A : Of course...actually she's part of the family...she was Kak Endon's sister-in-law, married to her brother but they divorced over 15 years ago... long time already.
Q : Did Kak Endon love Jeanne?
A : Yes, she did...otherwise, Kak Endon would not have invited her to work at our home...gave the responsibility to her.
Q : Is is true as some people say that it (the marriage to Jeanne) was the stated wish of Kak Endon?
A : She did not say it.
Q : Requested or recommended it?
A : She didn't either.
Q : How is the ceremony going to be held? Moderately?
A : Very moderate...the first one is big, the second small...third, fourth smaller still...(but) no third or fourth...stop at two.
Q : Do you plan to go on holiday after your wedding?
A : There's no plan yet...there's an official trip abroad...will be bringing (Jeanne) along...what's the use of having a companion if you don't bring her along...that also (the press) want to ask?
Q : How about the people...will there be a reception for them?
A : It'll be as usual after this...will be visiting several places ...Sabah, Sarawak...can bring her along to meet the people. I'm not asking the people to hold a big kenduri (feast) when we meet them. If the programmes are suitable, she'll be there too.
Q : Have you ordered the wedding ring?
A : Yes...it's already late now.
Q : Now that you have another woman in your life...how about your love for Kak Endon?
A : My affection and love for Endon remain strong. I believe that God has created in our hearts many spaces for different people that we can love as much.
When we are talking about women, we can love our mother, our wife, but we cannot compare the love for our mother with the love for your wife, and Jeanne is also a love...that's God's will.
Endon's pictures are the reminders of her...but it's alright if hers (Jeanne's) are also included.
Q: What do you call her? Darling, sayang? (Laughter from the floor).
A: You will all know what I call her after the marriage.
Q: What is Datuk Seri's hope from the people?
A: I hope they will pray for our happiness because a happier prime minister can do a lot of good work (laughter and clapping from the floor).
Q: Will your life be more meaningful?
A: How can it not be meaningful? What kind of question is that? More meaningful....yes, more meaningful.
Q: How many guests will be at the wedding?
A: I don't know...but it's only for close relatives. |
